An anthropological description of the Moni tribe in the mountain area of east Irian Jaya. The author worked there from 1971 until 1984 as a priest and describes their living conditions (the environment, housing, gardening and food) and culture (relations with other tribes, family relations, marriage, warfare, myths and gosts)
