Rectangular box (kabila) made from woven leaves. The box has a handle and lid. The sides of the box are decorated with a meandering pattern, brown in colour. The lid is decorated with red, blue and yellow strips of leaves. Purchased in 1962.

The design on the lid is characteristic of Manokwari. The original owner purchased the box at an auction (lelang) held at the mission station at Pasar Putih.

Description (brief)
Suit of armour for protection against arrows and throwing spears. It consists of two parts attached to each other. The lower part is plaitwork (half plaited) with rattan support elements bound with thin rattan strips and orchid bark. The upper part consists of flexible shoulderbands in loopwork, with a decreasing number of loops that end in cords. At one end a rattan ring is attached.
