Description (brief)
Spear made from hardwood. Towards the tip of the spear the blade has a wide part with a decoration of woodwork and a relief of spiral shapes. The spiral shapes are associated with young fearn leaves or the tail of the cuscus. The spear is also decorated with feathers and hardened reeds attached with human hair. Used in headhunting raids and today carried as an accesory when attending dance festivities.

Description (brief)
Spear made from hardwood or palmwood. This spear was used as a weapon of war. The decorative wood carving represents stylized human figures in the squated pose of the praying mantis. Through the middle and at the sides of the blade are carved out zig zag lines, representing worms. Today these spears are used for hunting and arried to ceremonies and dance festivities.
